Every year we send an art card to members, donors, and friends. They consist of a koan, a commentary, and art by one of our members. We’re interested in the intersection of the arts and Zen, and many of our members are artists themselves.

You can view and download our 2016 art card here. It features calligraphy of the Japanese character “Mu” – the Great Koan “No” in the Zen tradition – a woodblock print, and a koan commentary, all by John Tarrant. To view full-size, click here.
