SUNDAY ZEN: In Delusion, You’re Like a Knight in a Dream – with John Tarrant & Friends

March 24 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Free – $10

Serenity and the True Life: Great Yangshan’s Dream

Here’s a poem from The Book of Serenity:

In a dream how can you know the dream is unreal?

Only when you’ve awakened do you realize what was in the dream is nonexistent.
When deluded you’re like a knight in a dream,
After enlightenment like a farm hand rising from sleep.

A simple life is good. Serenity comes in the midst of upheaval.
The lion roars, the mind is as peaceful as the ocean.

These meditations can bring serenity for the rest of your life.
Sitting together the temple gets built.

Join us.

—John Tarrant

Meditation is not a task with a known goal. It’s something you can’t do wrong, a chance for the things of this world to come towards you and to meet you, for doors to open by themselves, and for us to see where the ancient paths lead.

Waking up is something we do together, in the online temple on Sunday. We love it when you join us.

—John Tarrant Roshi and all of us at PZI
