I notice doing ceremonies, such as funerals and weddings, and taking part in them myself, there is a consolation and even delight in resting in the old forms. It’s not about belief but there’s a respect for those who have gone before us and established a way. In times of sorrow and in times of joy there is still a path.
It’s passed on in the dark, hand reaching for hand.
We too are linked by the threads that link the stars. And we’re tangled up with each other.
