SUMMARY:Zen & the Ancient Lands — Southwest Retreat with John Tarrant\, Allison Atwill\, & Tess Beasley
DESCRIPTION:Zen & the Ancient Lands\nSouthwest Retreat\nIn Person with John Tarrant\, Allison Atwill\, & Tess Beasley\nHyperslow Retreat Center\nTaos\, New Mexico\nSaturday\, November 15—Wednesday\, November 19\n\n*This retreat is currently at capacity\, but email Eleanor@pacificzen.org to reserve a spot on the waitlist.\n\nIn zazen I stop reaching beyond the present. Stillness rises like moonlight filling the garden. How complete the world is. \nAnd something to notice is how we have always been here. That’s the experience of the ancestors\, life after life\, the practice has appeared and I blunder into it and it saturates me. \nWe’ll be practicing in a magical place too\, the New Mexico High Desert. \nHakuin says\, \nIf you try zazen even once\, you wipe away beginningless crimes. \n—John Tarrant \n \n\n\n\n\n \nThis is our first time gathering at Hyperslow Retreat Center\, which offers more luxurious accommodations than other PZI retreat locations. \n\nTo register\, please email our registrar Eleanor at eleanor@pacificzen.org with your preferred room (Options: A—G below) and your roommate\, if applicable\, and we will send you a link to complete payment. We will do our very best to accommodate each request\, dependent on availability. \nIf you would like a shared room and have a preference for your roommates\, please coordinate with each individual before emailing the registrar. \nRetreat pricing is kept as low as possible\, but the rising cost of everything makes this difficult. If you have the means\, donations to our Scholarship Fund are accepted with our deep gratitude. \nPZI Members: If you want to attend and are in need\, please don’t hesitate to request financial aid through a PZI Scholarship. Contact our registrar for scholarship and any other retreat questions. \nNot a member? Join us! \n\nRETREAT DETAILS \nLocation:\nHyperslow Retreat Center\, 1101 Witt Road Taos\, NM 87571 \nDates and Times:\nFive Days & Four Nights\nBegins Saturday\, November 15th\, at 7:00 p.m. (Dinner at 6\, check-in at 5)\nEnds Wednesday\, November 19th at 12:00 p.m. (Lunch will not be served) \nWith PZI Teachers: John Tarrant\, Allison Atwill\, & Tess Beasley\n \nRegistrar:\nFor retreat\, registration\, and PZI Member Scholarship questions\, contact Eleanor Silberman: eleanor@pacificzen.org \nTransportation Liasion:\nFor questions regarding getting to/around Taos\, contact Brooke Wilding: palance@earthlink.net \nPricing:\n(A private bathroom is included in each room)\n \n*Early Bird Pricing currently reflected below.
