Jesse Cardin
Roshi

Jesse Cardin, Roshi, leads the San Antonio, Texas-based Zen koan meditation center called It’s Alive! Zen, and its online talk series, ZenBytes. He has been a student of John Tarrant, Roshi since attending his first PZI retreat in 2006 (at which time he had no idea what he was getting into). Jesse is also a musician and social worker. He is particularly interested in how koans can be used in mental health and substance abuse recovery, and to help people who help be better helpers. He is available to teach in person, by phone or email, or via any other medium of communication.
If you are interested in becoming a student or just having a chat about Zen, please feel free to contact him.
