Open Door Zen is guided by David Parks, Sensei. Its main center is in central Kentucky, but there are related sitting groups in both Kentucky and California, where David lived and taught for many years.
Panola Ridge Zendo
Panola Ridge Zendo is located on beautiful Panola Ridge in central/eastern Kentucky in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Here we join chickens and horses, dogs and cats, coyotes, snakes and hawks opening to the generosity of each moment. Life is always on offer here. Our practice is to say Yes!–to meet life through the use of meditation and koans.
Beginning on August 27, 2017 the Open Door community will gather for meditation and a talk each Sunday at the Zendo at the Panola Ridge Farm and Sanctuary from 10 am to 12 pm. A potluck lunch follows and friends are invited to stay at the farm for an afternoon in the country.
