Featured Koan: The Buddha's Enlightenment

The Buddha looked up and saw the morning star and awakened.
He cried out, “Now, at last, I see that all beings have the nature of the one who comes thus. Only their delusions and attachments keep them from realizing this."

PZI Talk LIVE! Finding Yourself in a Story with Gaffney & Hitchcock

Free – $10

When we do a dowsing for our place in a great story—that is simultaneously crafted just for us—surprising springs can be found. When we do this subtle searching together, listening to where others find themselves, we may be blessedly confused as to who is who. A mandala may appear, your hidden dragon might speak.

Don’t limit yourself to your own small story.

—from Taking Part in the Gathering, translated by Joan Sutherland and John Tarrant

Two students came to Hidden Dragon and said, “Hi, what is awakening?”
Hidden Dragon replied, “You are Chris. You are Corey.”

Join co-hosts Chris and Corey of PZI for a group conversation twice a month on topics of interest, wonder, or confusion—our intent being to help ourselves sit up and notice that we are alive! We’ll invite special guests, report on interspecies communication, encourage creative outbursts, and try to keep the wind in our collective sails.

This is a gathering in the spirit of our PZI Talk Members google group, but meeting face-to-face online with listening, noticing, and speaking occurring in real time. Please join us—the only experience necessary is the one you’ve been having. With folks such as yourselves, who knows where we will journey?

—Chris Gaffney aka Mr. Crane, & Corey Hitchcock aka Interpreter of the Wild

We are in accord with the old Chan teachers who believed that conversations with others could be decisive in waking up to our original nature.
