ABOUT KOAN SEMINARS
These exciting one-day
programs offer a rare opportunity to experience koans in a collaborative
environment, working with one of the foremost koan teachers in the
United States. The programs include guided meditation, interactive
koan work and conversation.
No experience
is needed to participate in a koan seminar; koans meet you where
you are.
Koans
are both works of art and methods of spiritual transformation. With
a koan you let it keep you company. It's not a matter of looking
for the right answer, but of finding out what the koan has to teach
you. The koan doesn't judge you or complain, it just reveals what
the mind does. It also shows the nature of the world when it is
not being too distorted by delusion.
Koans
are intended to take you directly into reality — before you
can explain it away.

IMPORTANT
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Please read the
Payment & Refund Policy Below
Payment and Refund Policy for Koan Seminars:
1. Full payment is required
in advance, and your place will be reserved in the order your payment
(by Credit Card Online or Check) is received by the Registrar.
2. Cancellations for refund must be delivered to the
Registrar (by email or phone only) by one week prior to the Seminar.
After that date, no refunds will be given. Instead, your fee will be
added to our Scholarship Fund for the Monetarily Challenged - and much
appreciated.
3. All fees taken in the last week prior to the Koan
Seminar are non-refundable.
4. In the past we would let fees 'roll over' to the
next Koan Seminar, but we no longer do that.
In Sum: If you cancel more than
one week ahead of the seminar your fee will be refunded or, if you choose,
applied to the Scholarship Fund as in the case of late cancellations.
Thank you.
